I got a strange update on my blog

    I received something strange in my notifications tonight. I saw that a particular blogger had followed me but when I looked at their page the page showed an error. Meaning it could not be located by wordpress itself. But I received one like from them, and yet no views were shown. Does anyone know what this means? Am I being spammed? Would greatly appreciate any help.

    Hi there,

    There is no obligation for any WordPress.com user to have a WordPress.com site, or even any site at all linked to their username. If you see an error when clicking on their site name in the notifications, it means they probably have an outdated link or a link to a broken site in their profile, nothing more.

    And it is possible for someone to like your posts from the main Reader view without actually clicking on your post to view it on its own – a view is only recorded when someone clicks on a post to view it in its own screen.
