I had a blog, but it seems to be deleted (?)

Hi there,
I have one blog (taissatoune/wordpress.com) on one email account (I want to keep this blog).
I created another one (nocookingskills) on another email account, but deleted it as I don’t want to use it after all.
I thought I created one (thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com) but:
– I can’t seem to log into it
– when I go to the url, it says it’s not available, because ‘the authors deleted it’
– I can’t create new blog called thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com because it is already in use.I’m a bit confused now. Can you help?

And… when I check my setting for the second account (with the other email account), my account says my web address is thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com … I don’t understand!!

The authors have deleted this site.You cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and it must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once the verification link for deletion is clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.

Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

Thanks for your info. But what I don’t understand is that the blog that I deleted is the one that said nocookingskills.wordpress.com, not the thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com … And when I check my account, the web address in the account still says thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com, so how can it be deleted?

http://http://thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com/There was a duplicate blogs issue that could explain why you see http://thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com/ as not being deleted when in fact it has been deleted. You’re w welcome. Another thing that could be happening is that you could be viewing a cached copy of http://thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com/ so try clearing your browser cache please. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

Hi there, thanks for getting back to me. I don’t understand what happened though because I only deleted one blog, ei. nocookingskills.WordPress.com. Somehow thatbelgiangirl.WordPress.com was linked to it and so got deleted too. Seeing as that wasn’t the primary one, would it still be recoverable? As it wasn’t the actual one but only a linked one? Thanks again!

The deletion of these sites was actually not linked. thatbelgiangirl was deleted about 8 months ago. and nocookingskills was deleted three days ago.
Unfortunately, I can’t recover a deleted site. As an alternative, it looks like the blog address thisbelgiangirl is available. You can create a new site here:

Hey. That sounds weird. I did definitely delete the nocookingskills a few days ago myself yes. One last question. Can you tell me if I deleted thatbelgiangirl myself? Or if it got deleted by staff for some reason? Thanks for helping out!

I strongly suspect it was not deleted by Staff. Staff do not delete any blogs unless there are Terms of Service violations and when that happens the blogger gets a warning notice on their dashboard.

timethief is correct. The only sites Staff would affect in this way are sites that violate our Terms of Service.
It looks like you deleted thatbelgiangirl.wordpress.com by changing its name to nocookingskills.wordpress.com. When you delete a site you’re given an option to keep the blog URL as a separate (and now empty) site or delete it. You must have chosen to delete it when you changed the name.
