I had an email saying my site was locked as my login details may have been stolen?

    I had an email yesterday (which if Im honest I thought might be a scam!). It said something about needing to reset my password within the email as a site I had connected to had been hacked and had its passwords taken etc.

    I use WordPress.org, not WordPress.com (the email was oddly from WordPress.com, and also to my personal email, not the email linked to my website).

    I’ve just tried to login to my website admin panel (via siteground) and I found a 404 error and zero dashboard to work with. Ive updated the password like the email suggested I do, but I still have zero dashboard when I login, and no ability to post further articles. My ‘about me’ section has also disappeared on my website, which further indicates a hack has happened.

    When I login, rather than my wordpress.org dashboard, I get a 404 error? Can you help me please?

    The confusing thing is the password was very strong and not used on any other site other than WordPress. I do not understand how it would have been accessed outside by another website :(

    The reset email was for an account here at WordPress.com and would have no affect on logging directly into your site at http://www.littlemooshealthyliving.com/wp-login.php.

    I checked and your site is not connected via Jetpack, so I’m not sure what the issue is.

    Can you give us the site address the email mentions and we can take a look for you.
