I have a WordPress site yet WordPress says I do not have one?

  I have had a WordPress site for over a year and am now logged into my account trying to edit my site. It says, ‘You don’t have any WordPress sites’. Um….yes I do. I’m looking at the site online right now. What the heck is going on?

  Hi @mandyhenebryceramics131217, do you have more than one account with us?

  Try logging out at https://wordpress.com/me/account then logging in again as user mandyhenebryceramics (no numbers after that.)

  If you need help regaining access to that account, there’s a reset password option you can use.

  Or, if that isn’t your account, please send a link to your site so we can point you in the right direction.

  Looks like you posted twice and included the link in the other thread. I’ve merged the two.

  And, it does look like I guessed the right site, so if you’ll log in as mandyhenebryceramics you should be fine. Cheers :)

  No. I do not have more than one account with you.
  https://wordpress.com/me/account is where I’ve been logging in at all along.

  If I could send a screenshot, I would. Do you have an email address I can send to? I’m logged into this account: mandyhenebryceramics When I click “My Site” top left as I’ve done before to edit my site it says, “You don’t have any WordPress sites yet. Would you like to start one?” w/a blue button that says “Create Site”. I already created one over a year ago. I don’t want to create a new one. I want to edit existing one.

  For the record, I did not change the account username to mandyhenebryceramics131217 <<Those numbers appeared on their own. I created this account December 2017 (sorry, I thought it was over a year ago). When I created it, the username was mandyhenebryceramics (without the numbers behind it.

  Okay….after further investigation, it seems you are right. There are 2 accounts:

  1) mandyhenebryceramics
  and
  2) mandyhenebryceramics131217

  I do not know who created the second one (the one w/numbers behind it). I surely did not. Somehow the one w/the numbers has been linked to my email address which is what I’ve been using to login with as my username.

  mandyhenebryceramics is the correct/active account. Can you help me delete the erroneous mandyhenebryceramics131217 account, please?

  Only you could have created it, especially if it’s showing your email address. The mandyhenebryceramics131217 account was created in December 2017, with the email address it’s currently associated with, and the account was activated, which could only have been done by someone with access to the correct email account.

  The mandyhenebryceramics is associated with a completely different email address, and has never been associated with your Gmail address you’re using for the mandyhenebryceramics131217 account.

  mandyhenebryceramics is the correct/active account. Can you help me delete the erroneous mandyhenebryceramics131217 account, please?

  You can close the mandyhenebryceramics131217 account from your account settings, but first make sure you’re able to log into the mandyhenebryceramics account before you do that.

  Delete your account

  We cannot close an account for you. Only you can close an account you own.

  That is really strange. I was able to log into the mandyhenebryceramics account and was able to close the mandyhenebryceramics131217 account. Thanks. :)

  It is only possible to close an account you are logged in to — the request to close mandyhenebryceramics131217 came from that account. I’m glad to hear you were able to do what you wanted though :)
