I have more "likes" than views

I got 4 likes to an article the same day it was posted. When I checked the view count, it showed 3 views. I figured it will get updated by the next day.
Well, it was updated — to 2 views. The 4 likes are still there. And no, none of the missing views were shown the next day — I have a total of 2 views for the lifetime of the post, and still 4 “likes”. None of the “likes” are my own or anyone else that I know.To put it bluntly, wtf!?

Well, it was updated — to 2 views.A shift of one view, or even hundreds of views, from one 24 hour period to another is not an exceptional occurrence. WordPress.com sometimes makes corrections of the stats for various reasons. Some of the corrections may be automatic; some are the result of human intervention.

This was not a shift from one day to the next. The total lifetime views dropped from 3 to 2.
In other words, there is no good explanation except that “views” is not really a good measure of how many times people actually visit your page.
Got it. Won’t ask about it again. Thanks for trying to clear it up for me. -
A correction of one view is not unusual. The stats service sometimes corrects errors in counting, retroactively.

There might be a much simpler explanation. A like can be unliked, by simply clicking on the “Liked” button.

Sorry, the last point I made is irrelevant to the view count, and to the reported issue.
