  What is the difference between Mapping my domain and Transferring it?

  Hi there,

  If you transfer the domain, we become your domain registrar, meaning you’ll pay us to renew the domain registration every year.

  Mapping is when you leave the registration at your current provider, and only point the domain to your WordPress.com site from their end. Then you’ll have to continue paying them every year to renew the domain.
