I Have problems importing and old wordpress site to this new one.

  Hallo, I have problems importing and existing wordpress site from a local file previusly downloaded to my computer. Somehow the importing process hangs on the “processing” screen and nothing else happens.. I wanted to know how should I import a previus wordpress site to this new one. thank you.
