I have purchased a domain for 10-years

    Hi,

    I purchase a domain with Go Daddy for 10 years – if I transfer to word press will the same amount of time I own the domain apply?

    I currently receive mail to this domain via google – will transferring it over to WordPress effect this in any way?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    A domain cannot be renewed for any more than 10 years at a time. This should not prevent you from transferring the domain to us, but once the transfer completes the domain will not renew for another year, as usually happens in the case of domain transfers.

    I can tell you you definitely won’t lose any of the time you’ve already paid for on the domain – it will still have the same expiration date after it transfers to us, and going forward it will renew along with your plan each year, as long at the next expiry date will not be more than 10 years in the future after the renewal.
