I have two accounts and I need help fixing this

    I have two accounts by accident: I have
    jenkinscecilia14 / (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    cjenkins14/ (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    1 account I upgraded to premium and I am trying to move my squarespace website to wordpress.
    I need to combine the two accounts. Any help with this? Thanks

    Hey there, I don’t have a great way to combine two accounts, but you can definitely choose one to roll with, and move any sites, upgrades, and features into the correct account.

    If you need help, can you confirm which account you intend to keep? Also, are you particularly attached to the usernames, or to one email address over the other?

    I am trying to over everything over to this site. I am also moving from Squarespace (moving my domain ) to WordPress. Thanks for your help!

    Hi there!

    Thanks for confirming! I’ve checked and found that you don’t actually have any sites under the account jenkinscecilia14 that you don’t want to keep. So I’d suggest closing the account jenkinscecilia14 to avoid any confusion. (It won’t hurt to keep the account anyway in case you want to create a new site under a separate account, but if you want to use the email address that you used on jenkinscecilia14 in the future, you will not be able to do so as it’s already on an account.)

    If you’d like to close the account, make sure you’re logged in to jenkinscecilia14 and then follow the instructions here: https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/

    Then, once you’re logged back into the account that you want to keep, you can follow these instructions to move your Squarespace site/domain to WordPress.com:

    * https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-squarespace/
    * https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

    Hi
    Thank you for that info! I did delete that account. I am having another problem when I moved Items from Squarespace, I had a blog on Squarespace and now it seems like my blog is my homepage and all my other pages are located in a different place, I need to get my blog and all the other imported pages in one space and make another page my home page, any ideas how to do this? Thank you!

    Hi there,

    At the code level, WordPress.com and Squarespace are pretty different platforms as you would imagine. We do our best to import your content, but usually there is a bit of cleanup work like this since they do not exactly provide a “WordPress formatted export file” to make the process smoother.

    Is your Squarespace site still online? It may help if you can share a link to that so we can see what you had there.

    On your WordPress.com site, by default your blog posts are set as your “homepage” but you do have the option to put those on another page and set up a more traditional website homepage instead (and moving your posts to their own page) as shown in this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/
