I mapped a domain to my website last year – now I would like to unmap it.
-
I mapped http://www.modernhiero.com to theactivesoul.wordpress.com last year.
I would now like to point http://www.modernhiero.com to my Squarespace website. I would like to remove it from WordPress entirely, but WordPress isn’t allowing me.
If it’s possible to change the domain name that is mapped to my blog, that would be preferred. Ideally I would like to map another domain that I own (instead of http://www.modernhiero.com) to theactivesoul.wordpress.com
If not, I just need it removed.
Please help soon, this is urgent.

Hi there,
Domain mapping upgrades can only be used with the domain name you selected when you purchased the upgrade. You’re welcome to map a different domain to your blog, but you’ll need to set that up separately and purchase domain mapping for that domain: Map an Existing Domain
For your domain modernhiero.com, you have a couple options. You can set your free WordPress.com address as the primary domain for your blog by going to Store > My Domains in your dashboard. That way, visitors can get to your blog at that address: Changing your primary domain
I see you’ve already done that, and when I visit your domain I get to your Squarespace site. You’re welcome to leave it set up like that, or you can cancel your domain mapping for modernhiero.com entirely by going to Store > My Upgrades and using the “Cancel” link next to the domain upgrade there. Please let me know if you’d like me to help cancel that upgrade for you.
