  Could you tell us more about what you are trying to do? What do you mean with ‘appearance menu’?

  The Editor option you’re looking for is not available on WordPress.com, as it’s not possible to edit your theme’s files on WordPress.com. That option only exists in the self-hosted, open source version of WordPress.

  If you let us know exactly what you want to do, we might be able to give you a different way of doing it here.
