my wordpress web page is basically blank and i only have access to my site page through my dashboard, i need to access my ite and link it to my wordpress page

  • Hi there,

What is the URL of the site you are trying to regain access to? I see that you have two sites under the account you are contacting us from, but is this one under a different account?

Also, are you saying that the e-mail connected to the admin account that owns the site doesn’t exist anymore, or is it that you no longer have contact with the person who is the admin of the site?

Let me know and I’d be happy to assist.

    Thanks,

Hi thank you for your reply, yes the person who set up my site is not around anymore.
I originally bought a template from wordpress and he took over to set it up, my site (lesolivesfarm.com) is hosted by OVH and it looks like the setup was don on WP.org, i have a blog which i do not use and a site address that reads something like lesolivesfarm.wordpress.org which is not used either (i guess)
My only access is through my dashboard where i can change/add things (limited) onto my site.

So how do i get full access for my web site, i need to get admin changed i guess to me, and would it be better to transfer my OVH hosting to WP.com and get rid of WP.org?

looking forward to your reply and thank you again

  • Hi there,

Can you check if the account you’re logged in to allows you to export your content? If it does, then you can move your site to our platform.

To see if you can export your content go to your Dashboard > Tools > Export.

If this doesn’t work, you need to contact OVH and see if they can help you get full access to your dashboard.

The third solution is to manually copy and paste your content (texts, images, etc.) here.
