I need help with themes and post excerpts.

    Hi, I’m trying to set up a blog where the list of posts shows a certain amount of each post’s content that I define by putting it above a ‘read more’ link. I want to create excerpts that contain images, video embeds, or content organized into columns. I picked a theme on WordPress (it’s called Nook), but I think it may have limitations in its settings about what I can use for excerpt content. I could use some help finding a theme that actually allows me to control the excerpts in detail using the ‘read more’ links, instead of the text-only excerpt field which is too limiting for my needs.
