  As an anti-fraud measure, when a domain is canceled, the registrar will hold onto it for some time before it is released into the pool of available domains. This can take a few weeks and can cause you to lose a domain if someone registers it before you are able to once it is released.

  If you like, I can try and reverse the cancellation. I will let you know if I am successful, it typically takes 12-48 hours.

  If successful, you will need to re-purchase the yearly domain registration. Then you will be able to use the domain here on WordPress.com or point your domain to a new webhost using these instructions:

  Or, once 60 days have passed, transfer it to a new registrar using these instructions:
