I need the ‘free address’ for a project of my master

  Hey! I had to open a wordpress to make a blog during this year for my master’s program, but I could not select the click ‘no thanks, I will use the free address’ and then click Create Blog. So now if I want to post, I have to pay and this is not how all my classmates are doing it, could you please help me to change it? Because if I close my blog I am not able to use the same address until 30 days later and I need to start now to write some posts…!!

  I’ve never seen the message ‘no thanks, I will use the free address’. Perhaps you are typing a complete domain address ending with .com or .org?
  I just create a free site by typing a single word or a phrase at: https://wordpress.com/start/domains
  Then I fine tune the free address offered, experimenting with different words or removing most of the numbers etc before clicking any further and creating the site.
  PS:

  I close my blog I am not able to use the same address until 30 days later

  If you delete a WordPress.com address after 30 days you cannot restore it or ever use it again. If you close an account it is the email address associated with it that cannot be used again for 30 days.
