I need to change the email address in my WordPress Blog, but it won't let me

    Hi,

    I want to use my number one email address for my blog, but my number one email address is connected to another blog I had years ago, and I can’t remember what blog that is. Can you help?

    Hi there,

    Yes, emails can only be connected to one WordPress.com account at a time, so if you want to use that email address for your blog, you’ll need to change to free it up for your other account.

    If you do not remember the blog. Do you happen to remember the username/account associated with the blog?

    Hi,

    I do not remember the username / account to the blog my number one
    email address is connected to.

    However, since my email address is connected to that missing blog, it seems that there could be a way of tracking down the missing blog using my email address. If that were possible.

    Yes, indeed. If you still have access to the email connected to the account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery tool. Please check your spam folder for the recovery email if you don’t receive it in your inbox immediately:

    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    Otherwise, you can post the email in this thread and I can look it up on my end.

    Hi,

    I clicked the Link and reset the password for the missing blog, only
    WordPress now says the blog does not exist. The WordPress page does not say it was deleted, it simply says it does not exist.

    And after signing into the old blog that no longer exists, I click on My Site, and I was taken to a Cox automated page that
    shows a dot com web address similar to the missing blog I once
    owned.

    Since WordPress says my old blog that is connected to my number one email address does not exit, I guess I won’t be able to use my number one email address for my WordPress Blog.

    Looking at what I just posted, at the bottom it says,
    {email redacted} and it does not show the email address
    I posted. Maybe this system is set up so as not to allow
    email addresses in the posts.

    Alright, now that you can log into your shekhinahblog account, you can replace the number one email with a different email that isn’t associated with either account. You can do that here.

    Once you do that, then you can add your number one email address while logged into your darknightofthesouls account here.

    I can now keep my number one email address for my WordPress Blog

    That was getting a little intense there from this end trying to find
    an email address I could use.
