I need to redirect my DNS and Name Servers to wordpress. I tried and failed to redirect to Go daddy using the online training you provide and online chat w/ Go Daddy. The Name Servers NS11.domaincontrol.com and NS12.domaincontrol.com are set and my Go Daddy Ip address is set as my A record redirect, but i have this error message at the top of that section of my domains –
Your nameservers need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM for these DNS records to work. If you have already updated the nameservers you can ignore this message; it will stop appearing soon.
Im hoping that 24 hours will solve things, but in the event that it doesnt, im set to launch this site on 1/1/15 and need to make sure its directing to SOMETHING so the site isnt down. I would like to direct it back to wordpress, but do not know what to set in my A Record “points to” box.
Once my 60 days are up I am ready to trasnfer all hosting/domains to Go daddy to avoid all this confusion. I cant believe things are this complicated –
All I wanted to do was be able to add plug-ins to my site, unfortunately your marketing material was too good and im too naive to think that things should work – lesson learned. Please help out an apparently internet illiterate soul.

I’m sorry for the trouble getting your domain pointed to GoDaddy. In order to point a domain registered at WordPress.com to GoDaddy, you’ll actually need to use the WordPress.com name servers. That way the domain will use the A record you’ve set on this end to point your domain to GoDaddy.
However, I checked and I see that your domain is still pointed to a parked page rather than your GoDaddy site. Could you please contact GoDaddy support to make sure the IP address you have is correct for pointing your domain to your site there? It’s possible GoDaddy needs you to use a different IP address, instead.

Hey I do have the correct IP address from Go Daddy – at this point id rather just point it back to word press until i can get the transfer to go through at the middle of next month. Can you help me w/ the A record point to i need for that?

Sure thing! I just pointed your domain back to WordPress.com, so that’s all done. (It may take a little time for you to see the change on your end.)
If you ever need to do that again, you can delete the custom A record you added and the default WordPress.com records will appear again.
