I need to switch my account back to an Administrator account.

I need to change a user role from Author to Administrator. I had a young man that was helping me with my blogs and it appears he has restricted my Administrator access some how and I am unable to see any of the administrator tools within the dashboard and he claims he doesn’t remember his user name and password, so I am unable to go in there and make the necessary changes needed. I would like to be able to make the necessary modifications to other accounts to ensure no one, but myself will have the rights to do this in the future. How can I accomplish this?

In general, we do not change user roles. The only person who is able to do that is the blog Administrator. If your administrator has lost his password, he can go here to reset it:
