I need to transfer my domain from godaddy to wordpress how I can do it?

    Guys,
    I am a newbie regarding to web developer or dealing with web site but since I am fed up with go daddy and I don’t want to deal with those crooks there I need to get away from them, I want to forward my domain to wordpress, is it something that I can do without any experience myself?I am also trying to develop the web page myself, nothing fancy but I had never done this before, Will you guys let me know if I can get it done without any experience on web development?
