How can I merge my two accounts. I had the free plan but recently bought hosting and now I can’t login to my new account?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, what are the addresses of the websites?
WordPressdotcom is a website hosting service for outsidetheboxvirtualsolutions.wordpress.com so if you bought additional hosting from a different website hosting provider, you would need to log in directly to that service.

So I set up my free wordpress site through wordpress. I then bought hosting through hostgator last night. When I go to my dashboard, it doens’t say “Howdy admin” in the top right corner which is making me believe that I am still in the free website?? When I try to log in using my new user name and password created by hostgator, it tells me that the password is wrong and then converts my username back to my old user name.

Hello again, If you have your website hosting through hostgator, that is where you need to log in. You didn’t mention the site address, but you can also add /wp-login.php to your website domain address.
For further help with logging in to your site you’ll want to either contact hostgator’s support or head over to https://wordpress.org/support for the documentation and support forums for the open source WordPress software as these support forums you’ve posted to assist users of the WordPressdotcom platform. https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You don’t need to have a site here on WordPressdotcom and you can either make your WordPressdotcom site visibility Private or entirely delete the site.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/However, if you install the Jetpack plugin on your hostgator site, you may need to connect it to a WordPressdotcom *account* to use certain features.
Hope that helps a bit to clarify things.
