I Opened up domain a few hours ago and need a refund!

    I’m sorry.

I just recently opened this domain name and realized I don’t need it (my blogging business was all mixed up and I purchased it without realizing it was un-needed).

Is there any way I can get a refund on SourPearls and get it cancelled as well?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK so I cancelled it but is there any way I can get a refund, as I cancelled in less than 48 hours?

Sounds like you found the “cancel” part of your dashboard – it is a two step process when a custom domain name is involved because of the high stakes and rules about domain names on the internet –

The staff should contact you with a “are you sure” email – then you get the refund – if a domain name is canceled there is no guarantee the domain name can be registered again when it reverts to the wild – domain name squatters many times buy up domain names and hold the names for hostage – so in case you wanted the domain name but not a blog on WordPress.COM the staff double check to help keep you out of trouble – as long as you make the request inside the 48 hours you should be fine and get your money back – the staff here have a good record for giving money back –

    At Auxclass:

Thanks so much! I actually accidentally made that domain name the second of the first I made! And I seem to have done everything else in a timely fashion, and included a request for re-fund through the cancellation comment box. I’ll see if I can send out an e-mail as well.

I REALLY appreciate your answer. Thanks so much!

You be welcome & good luck

  • Our Upgrades department did receive your cancellation request and will reply as soon as they can.

At this hour, they have to wake up first, so please don’t send another email.
