I set an post to private. Why does Google still show it to public?

  Hello there,

  I set one of my post as private. However, when I search my blog in google by typing in ‘timemachine323’ in google, the content in that private post still shows as the first result in google. How can I avoid that?

  If you recently changed the post visibility from Public to Private, it may take some time before a search engine crawls your site again and clears it from its cache of crawled posts.

  If you need to have that post removed from public view immediately, you will need to directly contact each search individually to request removal of that Post. Please see this support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
