I suddenly can’t like comments on Word Press

    I have always been able to like comments using WP. Now, when I click the “like” star, the star changes color, but no “like” appears, and the second I scroll the screen, the star color reverts to the original color, as though I never clicked it.

    Thank you so much for your assistance. I’m on Brave. No suggestions seem to work. I cleared the cache. I checked for Java and saw the notice that I am Java is enabled, and if I wasn’t, the text would change. The other browsers in their updated iterations don’t include Brave. I can leave comments on the Word Press site, but I can’t “like” other comments. Again, thank you for the suggestions!

    A key feature of the Brave browser is that it blocks trackers. This includes the trackers we use to determine whether or not you’re logged into your WordPress.com account when you view someone else’s site, and on which the Like feature relies.

    Check if Brave’s settings allow you to set exceptions/whitelist specific sites that are allowed to track you. If it does, add both the domains wordpress.com and wp.com as exceptions. Then clear cookies, log out and back in, and check if that makes any difference.
