I think somebody might have used my identity in a blog created 6 years ago. I’m not sure about this, but if you can just verify the identity of the author of the blog THE SOULFUL DIARIES. She basically has my name and somehow seems to be the same age as me but I don’t remember creating a blog 6 years ago with this title…. So, yeah, I just want to verify if this is a legit person or I’ve been a victim of identity theft.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
You probably registered the site yourself under a different username account and/or under a different email address.
https://thesoulfuldiaries.wordpress.com/ I note the author there is Anne Filart Garcia.
there is only one means of account recovery for wordpress.COM hosted sites.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.
I recommend bookmarking that link or memorizing it.
You can update your email address here https://wordpress.com/me
There is a single email address that can be used on only one wordpress.COM username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account.
The wordpress.COM blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time. A confirmation email will be sent to that address.
For Issues Changing your Email Address see https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/#issues-changing-your-email-address
If you cannot locate an activation or confirmation email check your email client spam filter please and if you use Gmail or a or G Suite account see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/If you are not logged in under the correct WordPress.COM username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
If you did not register the site under your username account and do not have the required access, then you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it, and have them act or transfer the site to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
If the login information has been lost go to
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#lost-passwordIf you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.
Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

I just don’t remember creating a blog at wordpress 6 years ago. And as far as I can remember, my current blog is the first time I used a part of my real name as the username. Also, IF EVER I was probably the one who created it, I don’t know which email I used since I’ve had a lot of email accounts before. If that was me, then we’ve got no problem. Just me and my forgetful mind. But if it’s not… though it’s been inactive for 6 years, still, it kind of bothers me. It’s kinda hard. I’m not sure myself if I created that or not. I just really don’t remember.

Hi @filartanne, if you didn’t create the site, it likely just belongs to someone else.
If you’d like to send a link to the site, starting with https://, I’ll double check it for anything suspicious.

There’s nothing much on the site actually. Nothing suspicious either. I just stumbled upon it when I was creating my username and the form said that @annefilart was already taken.. I got curious as to who might have the same name as me since my middle name Filart is not really that common. I got shocked to see a site with the author having even the same surname. I’m trying my best to remember if I created that site but I really don’t recall any instance that I did 6 years ago. The author would’ve been 23 now. I’m currently 23. I really just want to make sure who owns it.

We really can’t provide you with more information than what they’ve published. Perhaps you could comment on the site and see if anyone responds.
Do note though that we cannot give someone else’s site to you, even if they happen to have your same name. But you may be able to ask them for the site if they aren’t using it anymore — again, I’d recommend just asking.
Good luck.
