  I transferred my domain from page to squarespace and it’s not connecting to my website. how can I get the domain in squarespace see the website I built?

  I don’t see any history of domain names under your account here.

  What is the domain name you’re referring to?

  The domain name is catherineannwales.com

  The previous pointer was /wp_site_1617645173 if that means anything?

  The domain is not registered with us, so any name server changes to point the domain to the correct location will need to be made through the domain’s current registrar.

  yes I understand that.

  I recently transferred the domain from ipage, too squarespace. To keep things tidy with where other domains were.

  everything was working fine till I did this.

  However, I cannot find the website I built on WordPress. can you help? I am trying to find the data so I don’t lose it. ‘stress’

  It may have been a different account within WordPress or developed through bluehost. It’s been a while – but has photo’s that I’m not sure I’ve kept elsewhere.

  Hi there,

  The site catherineannwales.com appears to have been a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on iPage Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

  To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and iPage also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. Because we do not “host” your site we do not have any backup data or record of your site on our end.   You may wish to contact your domain registrar’s support team for more assistance, specifically you will want their help in switching your domain back to ipage. You will typically want to import to a new service first, and then connect your domain to the service after you have confirmed you have imported all data. It sounds as if you have done it in the opposite order…

  This it not something we can help with however, you will need to contact your domain registrar for help with switching back to iPage (temporarily) so you can complete your export/import.
