I tried to paste an email signup form from aweber but recd an error tag stating script not allowed in transmission of html to wordpress.

  why did I receive this error? Must I install a plug in from you to do this? Please advise.

  You can’t just copy and paste any html code on a free wordpress.com website. The html you can use is very limited.
  To avoid this limitation you must upgrade to the Business Plan.

  You can see the type of code that’s allowed and not allowed on free WordPress.com sites here: https://wordpress.com/support/code/

  If the code you’re trying to use is JavaScript, a Business plan with a plugin installed is required.
