Hi there, if you are wanting to accept payments for scheduled appointments and services, you would need the WordPress.com Business plan upgrade since you mentioned appointment scheduling as that would require a plugin, and plugins can only be used on that plan.
There is a way to add Appointment slots to Google Calendar, but there is no integration with any payment system, and that could be used on all plans, including the free plan. You might want to explore that as an option.
