I want to build a website/blog using wordpress, is there a download I need?

  I have my own domain and would like to build a website using wordpress. Is there a download i need to install to begin construction?

  I will assume that you intend to have your own domain not hosted on WordPress.COM then you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you will be using.

  Following on from this, I hope you can help me?? I am new to wordpress….

  I’d like to have a website, with blog and I am happy to use the worpress theme 2011.

  From my reading and understanding, i thought that I could pay the $12- 17 to have my specific domain address ie http://www.example.com and then i could design and have a website, with blog.
  Is that correct?
  Before i discovered wordpress, i bought a domain and uploaded with iweb, but I want to scrap that all together and create a new domain name and I am hoping that i can do all that with wordpress.
  One final question – how would i get an email address that corresponds with my website?
