I want to cancel my domain subscription

    I desperately need to cancel my domain subscription but I cannot for the life of me figure out how. When I’m logged into my account, it does not show up under my purchases like the support FAQ docs say it should. But the site is still active and I really need to cancel it before it auto-renews again. I don’t think I have a plan eligible for the live chat help. How do I get ahold of someone directly at customer support to deal with this issue? And why on earth is it so difficult to reach any actual support services for this site?

    I do not see any upgrades under your @hollyscudero WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/.

    Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? What is the URL of the domain you are trying to cancel? Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

    I’m trying to cancel cantripsandchamomile.com. Which I can still login to just fine if I actually wanted to add more content, but it’s apparently not linked to my normal WordPress account so I can’t figure out how to cancel the domain subscription.

    I appreciate your help!

    Thanks for the additional info!

    From what I can see that site is hosted with another provider of WordPress sites (who we are not connected with directly) called Hostgator.

    You can see that in the DNS info here: https://gwhois.org/cantripsandchamomile.com+dns

    Name Servers:
    – ns6383.hostgator.com
    – ns6384.hostgator.com

    To clarify, we are just one of many different providers of WordPress sites and we don’t have control over sites hosted with other providers. I can see you do have a few sites with us that appear to not be mostly empty and not in use. Perhaps you were using your account here to experiment with WordPress using our free site option, but opted to create your cantripsandchamomile.com site with another provider?

    We are not able to help in this case, but but the good news is that if you contact Hostgator support they will be able to assist you with cancelling any upgrades you have through them.
