I want to change my email address.

    I no longer use my old email and I somehow ended up with two accounts. It looks like I’ll just have to close this account, wait 30 days, and then change my email on the other account.

    Hi there,

    If you just change the email address for this account to something else, you’ll be able to use your current email for your other WordPress.com account.

    If you’re using Gmail, you can just change this account’s email to an alias of your existing Gmail address. Gmail doesn’t care about periods, for example, so myemail[at]gmail.com and my.email[at]gmail.com is the same email address as far as Gmail is concerned, but our system will treat it as two different emails.

    Gmail also allows you to create aliases by adding a + to your email, so myemail+newwordpress[at]gmail.com will still be seen as the same email address by Gmail, but a different email by our system.

    That way you can change the address on this account, freeing up your preferred version of your email address, without having to wait for it to be deleted from this account first.
