  I want to close my account which says my plan was free. Why was I charged $48 earlier in the month?

  Hi there,

  The melissapcopeland account you’re using to post here only owns the free site, http://ladygrammarcom.wordpress.com, and has never bought anything from us. We don’t even have a credit card on file for you.

  $48 is the cost of our Personal Plan, but if you were charged for that, it was for a site that belongs to another WordPress.com username account.

  If you’re not sure what site the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/. You can also use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.
