Hello!
I want to make a change in the hard code from my website but since my website is hosted by WordPress I don’t know how to ftp the needed file to my computer and upload it back again. There is an old address in the code I need to remove. This is the code:Yoga Community – Herengracht 607 Amsterdam
How can I get there?

Hi there,
We only allow FTP access on our Business Plan, but you don’t need FTP access for this change, as no content is hard-coded into the site, and that address qualify as content – it’s something you added to the site, not something the site was created with.
The only places you could have added that is to a post or page via the editor, or to a widget using the Customizer at My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Widgets, and you’ll go to the same place to remove or edit it.
I don’t see that address anywhere on your site, though. Can you let me know exactly where you’re seeing it? Then I can tell you the exact steps you need to remove it.

Do you mean you’re seeing it if you view the source code in your browser? I can see it there, but that’s not coming from us.
I see you’re using domain masking to make it appear as if your custom domain is mapped to your WordPress.com site. What you’re doing there is embedding your WordPress.com site inside an iframe on another site that’s hosted at https://www.mijndomein.nl/. And that address is in the
headsection of the HTML of that other site.So to change that you’ll have to change it at Mijndomain’s end, as we don’t have any control over that.
Also note that using this method to connect a domain is not recommended nor supported on WordPress.com, and can cause several problems with your site, including breaking mobile responsiveness, preventing stats and certain widgets from working, preventing us from serving your site over a secure https connection, and negatively affecting your site’s SEO, to name just a few.
The only way to properly connect a custom domain to a WordPress.com site is via a domain mapping upgrade, which requires one of our paid plans.

Hello Kokkieh,
Thank you so much for your fast help. I noticed what you say about the iframing.
I am the new designer for this site, we are going to switch to another theme. The old builder set up this structure, I don’t know why and the owner / client doesn’t know too. So what you advice me is to either map the existing domain to WordPress or host the site at Mijndomein. (you probably wouldn’t advice me the last thing ;-)
My client has a free account at the moment, I will discuss the mapping with her. I guess she needs another plan for this.Best,
Daan -
Yes, we’d definitely recommend using the domain over here with us, of course. :)
For that, there are two options:
Mapping allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
