I want to migrate a domain away from the host and transfer my current wordpress built site to that migrated domain name.

    I have a built site with WordPress and a WordPress domain at a host. I want to have my domain transferred from the host so that I can transfer my current built WordPress site to that domain name on WordPress. . . . . not sure if I’m clear or using the right jargon

    Are you trying to transfer a site you made at another host here to us on WordPress.com, or are you trying to connect a domain you own to a self-hosted WordPress site you have at another host?
