I want to start again

    I want a site but don’t want any of the posts and pages I have now. Could you delete my posts, pages, media, and comments for me?. Please keep my site and URL active, but give me a fresh start on my content creation.

    Hi there,

    Our support page can assist you in this process.
    If you have tons of content on your blog, we can do it for you, but you can accomplish clearing your site fairly easily with bulk actions whenever you’re ready.

    Are you wanting your theme reverted to its original layout as well? If so, I can go ahead and empty the site and reset the theme for you.

    I’ll try now (maybe tomorrow…) to start again from scratch.

    Do you know if there is a proper User Guide to download (PDF) or an ebook (for Dummies!!!) that I could buy with very simple instructions about how to start and go on with a blog?

    For example, it is even very difficult for me to discover where is ther a simple button to click and edit content already posted, although private, not public, or to alternate between a project of blog and the final (transitory) result. You know: before / after / before / after…

    Also I never could erase or delete some of the template elements (headlines, titles, subtitles, etc.).

    I am sorry to bother you with these silly questions.

    I noticed also that there is a WordPress.org site in Portuguese from Portugal (Europe) but I found it also a bit complicated with so many, many, possibilities of going through the support pages that you get lost! Do you think I should explore a little bit more that site? (https://pt.wordpress.org)

    I think you are mixing up WordPress.com and WordPress.org. They are different and the difference can and does cause a lot of confusion:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Your site is a WordPress.com site, so you really do not need to read any resources related to WordPress.org even though many things are similar.

    I would suggest starting with http://learn.wordpress.com. The site gives you many resources that’ll help you start from scratch. Also, please read http://support.wordpress.com for any issues you have with certain aspects of your site.

    Lastly, we are always here to assist with any question you have, so don’ hesitate to reach out.

    I thank you very much for your patience and support.

    Just looking (not yet read, of course!) to the TOC of learn.wordpress.com I felt immediately confident!!!

    I am only sorry to say to you that you must recognize that this material should be more visible on your WordPress site.

    Sometimes, to much crossed and alternate information possibilities are much more intimidating than a simple kind of… how-to-list… Don’t you agree?
