I want to upgrade to .org

  I was told if I opened a site in wordpress.com, I could install the .org pluggin is this correct,I still want a free site as this is just tinkering for now. help please.

  If you upgrade your WordPress.com site to a Business plan then you’ll be able to install Custom Plugin and Themes available at WordPress.org repository.

  Or else you might choose to go with self-hosted version of WordPress which is available at WordPress.org
