I want to use the blog subscription shortcode

  When I put the shortcode on my website nothing happens. I only see the shortcode displayed on the page, not something it would generate. Does it only work within the wordpress.com domain or can it work on independent WordPress sites?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The subscription form shortcode only works on WordPress.com. If you want to use it on a self-hosted WordPress site you need to install a plugin like Jetpack. You can read more about it here:
