I wanted to set up a website
-
I thought I was trying a website – clicked on the ‘free website’ button – couldn’t get it to do anything at all so thought I’d try an upgrade as it offered a ’30 day money-back’ offer if not what I wanted. When everything got set up it turned out to be a blog! I certainly didn’t click on a ‘build your own blog button’! Not what I wanted at all! I’ve now paid £50 of money I can’t afford to get a blog I don’t want. How can I rectify this please? Thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I’m more than happy to refund your payment. Just let me know if that’s what you’d like to do!
Also, to set up your site to look more like a static website than a blog, here are a few tips:
1. Set your front page to a static page:
2. Turn off comments across all pages:
You can do this through Settings > Discussion. You can read more about the comment controls here:

3. Set up a custom header:

4. Create a custom menu:

Hi – thanks so much for your quick reply and advice. Unfortunately, although your advice is helpful, I really do need a website. I have been given the job of setting one up for a voluntary ‘protest’ organisation (no experience whatsoever!) and so I need it to be right. If you could refund my payment I would really appreciate it.
Thank you again for your help. Kind regards. -
