I went from 14 followers to 405 overnight?!

  I am not understanding why I went from 14 followers to 405 overnight! Is this spam related? help please, thanks!

  justjennifer, yes I just added both yesterday! Is the number of facebook page followers I have relative to who follows my blog? I do not understand that….

  does anyone know how to fix this? I found a thread that states to disconnect and re publicize your connection with social networking on your blog, it did not work.

  When you use Publicize the number of Facebook friends, Twitter followers, etc. that you have is added to your followers here. You can disconnect the Publicize app in the same place you connected it > Settings > Sharing

  @dramatiquedesigns Publicize is an easy way of sharing your content to you favorite social networks without having to take the extra step of clicking on a sharing button.

  Where are you seeing the additional followers that you don’t want to see it? In the stats, your blog followers are shown separately from your facebook and/or twitter followers. In the follow by email widget, you are not required to tick that box to show the number of followers you have.
