I would like my sole Post to be my permanent Homepage
-
Hello. I’ve created a single Post which I would like to set as my permanent Homepage.
This won’t be a blog to which I add future posts; it will just consist of the single post (which I have already created). I don’t have any need for pages.
I’ve tried to set my sole Post as the Homepage following the instructions but I don’t get the result I’m looking for.
Instead, my Homepage currently contains a description of my blog, but to get to my sole Post, I have to click a link to navigate to a different URL containing the Post.
Is there a way to delete my existing Homepage (along with the existing description of my blog), so that typing ‘vertiports.wordpress.com’ will take webusers *directly* and *instantly* to the sole Post I’ve created?
Or perhaps a way to delete my Homepage altogether so webusers only see my Post?
Thank you for your help! I’m new to this!
Daniel

The easiest way to do so is by setting your home page as a static page and copy the content of your only post onto your homepage.

Many thanks!
I understand how to set my home page as a static page, but please could you tell me how to copy the content of my post onto my homepage?
I can only see how to clone one post into another post, or one page into another page. But I can’t figure out how to copy the content of a post into a page. Is there a way? Thank you!

You can copy all blocks of that post, https://wordpress.com/support/copy-a-post-or-page/#copy-all-blocks, and past them into your homepage

I did it! It would have taken me DAYS to figure this out without your help, and much trial & error & frustration. You’ve saved my sanity. I really appreciate it :-)
