    Hi there,

I’m sorry WordPress.com didn’t work out for you. You’re welcome to use your domain name with another hosting service by changing your name servers to point to the new host. We have a guide for doing that here: Change Name Servers

If you’d like, you can set your WordPress.com site to private so it isn’t visible to anyone else. We have details about how to change those privacy settings here: Privacy Settings

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

Thank you for the reply. Can a refund be issued just for the service (and keep the domain name)? Or do I have to cancel everything for a refund?

    Hi there,

Hosting here at WordPress.com is actually free, so there’s no charge for the service. :) The only charge is for the domain name itself.

If you prefer a refund, you can cancel the domain name by going to Store > My Upgrades in the dashboard. Next to the domain name, you can click the “Cancel and Refund” link for a full refund. (However, please be aware that if you cancel the domain name here it won’t be released right away and you may not be able to register it again elsewhere. We have more about that here: Cancel Domain)
