  I would like to remove a WordPress account as there has been a slight alteration to the name and the and I would no longer like the previous blog to appear.

  You can delete the blog, URL, and contents by going to the Dashboard->Tools page. Make sure you’re on the blog you want to delete first, because it is irreversible. We generally suggest setting it to Private instead. Do that on Settings->Privacy.
