I would like to upgrade to a proper URL sight to stop ads etc and add pages

    Hi there. I have the free wordpress site but I would like to be able to have a contact page, a blog page and to remove the ads. I am quite old, and find trying to find answers to how to do things on the internet and on community help really confusing and time wasting. Can you help me to ‘upgrade’ my site so it is more professional and usable please? Why can’t we just contact wordpress people to get help?

    Many thanks for reaching out.

    Happy to help you with this – in order to remove ads the site would need to be on a paid plan, at a minimum the personal plan.

    This can be purchased via Upgrades > Plans.

    With regards to setting up the pages, you would go to Pages > Add New and I would recommend using our predefined patterns to help set up these pages: https://wordpress.com/support/block-pattern/
