I would rather have my newly created site in WordPress.com to be a site with WordPress.org

I made a mistake in choosing the WordPress.com. I did not even launch the site that I started to create in the ‘.com’ platform. Please help? I just want to be able to use the same site name, please? Another question that I have is this: currently I am just learning all of the nuances of WordPress and do not really even want to enlist a host as for now it is a learning tool for me and will not go ‘public’ for a long time. Can I just localhost?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, sure you can do a localhost while you are learning and once you are ready you’ll need to find a web hosting provider where you can upload your site. However, it’s best to ask the folks over at the support forums for the open source WordPress software for recommendations and suggestions as they have experience with your software. https://wordpress.org/support/

I’d keep your site here on WordPressdotcom private as that will also keep it out of search engine returns. As far as your site name, any site URL that includes “.wordpress.com” can only be used here on WordPressdotcom. But you can give your site any title you wish.

    Best wishes.
