.ie domain name

I’m trying to set up a website. Currently I’m set up on the free plan but will be upgrading to the personal. I want to attach a .ie domain, which I own, but when I click to map it, it keeps bringing me back to the page to input the domain with a link to support page. I was wondering if I need to purchase the upgrade before I can map the domain? Or is there a problem mapping a .ie domain to wordpress?

Hi there,
You should be able to map a .ie domain here, but if you want to map it using the Personal plan you’ll need to purchase the plan first, yes. Go to My Site ->Plans and add the plan there. Once the plan is active you should be able to add the mapping under My Site ->Domains ->Add.
Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)

I’m having a similar problem. I’ve purchased the .ie domain, and the personal plan. However, when I try to change the nameservers, I get the following message,
“Your DNS change has failed as your hosting provider has not made their DNS servers “Authoritive” for your domain. Please contact your hosting provider and request this. LetsHost cannot resolve this error”

We do not sell .ie domains, so you did not purchase the domain from us. You only purchased a Domain Mapping upgrade which connects that domain to us from your domain provider. That connection is made by changing the name servers at your domain provider’s end, but it looks like you have already done so, and your domain is working for me, so I don’t understand what it is you are trying to do.
