If I change themes will I lose my widgets?

    I want to change themes but I don’t want to lose all of my widgets. If I switch themes will it erase my widgets? Is there a way to save them?

    Hi there,

    The widget areas on your blog are theme-specific, so if you switch themes it may deactivate the widgets you are using. However, those widgets aren’t erased. You can find them by scrolling to the bottom of the widgets page (under Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard) to the “Inactive Widgets” section. From there, you can drag the widgets you want back to the widget area(s) in your new theme.
