If I do not renew my domain with WordPress, what will happen to my blog?

  Obviously I will lose the domain, etc. That’s not my concern. I’m worried about the content I have created on my blog. I assume my URL will change to “(myaccountname.wordpress.com)”, and automatically transfer/keep all of my content the way it currently is.

  Even though I assume this, I am not sure. Please confirm or correct what I think about this situation, as I have no need to pay for this blog anymore, though I would like to stay with this community and keep writing in my spare time.

  That is correct – your content is safe – just the old address

  When the domain name and mapping expires you might want t cancel both of those to get rid of a renewal notice when people visit your blog – it will take a while for search engines to index your content since the search engines will think your old blog is a new new blog –
