If I pay for a domain on wordpress.com is it like I'm using wordpress.org?
-
If I have a ____.wordpress.com blog, then I pay you guys for the domain, do I have all the options a wordpress.org blog would? Or am I still just as limited as I was with a wordpress.com blog (in terms of not being able to advertise or sell ebooks on my blog), but I’m paying for the domain name? Looking forward to a response, thank you.

Hi. No, you only have the options you normally get with WordPress.com, all that changes is the address for your blog. Please read the “Important notes” section:

If you register a domain and map it to a WordPress.COM blog you are still bound by the fascinating Terms of Service, which include no advertising or selling e-books etc.
