  Custom domains are a feature of paid plans:

  https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Hosting is included and therefore isn’t something you need to purchase separately on WordPress.com.

  I have bought and registered a domain and website with WordPress, the business plan.

  So does wordpress host my site?
  How do I check my hosting?
  Is it a good host? Like, is it worth hosting with Bluehost or WPEngine?

  @jimjamguitar we think it’s great hosting, and you get support as well. Did you know you can open chats at http://wordpress.com/help/contact when you need help?

  If you prefer asking for help in the public forums, you can do that too. Although the forums are slower than chat, we do have a great community. I’d just recommend starting your own new thread, as yours is a different question than @victoriahallshaldon’s:
