IF PEOPLE ENTER THEIR DATA INTO MY CONTACT FORM, THEIR DATA SHOWS UP LIVE

I have set up a Contact Form on my blog site so that I can capture visitors’ email addresses. The trouble is, when I test it by putting my information in, the info appears live on the blog page so that whoever comes next to fill in the form, will have to clear that (confidential) data before they can complete the form. Surely, people should be able to enter their data and have it emailed to me (that bit DOES work) but it shouldn’t all show up in public for others to see. What have I missed? thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

UPDATE: I think this is sorted now (although I’ll be monitoring it). It’s a little confusing because it looks like the data is hanging there on the form after you have entered it. However, it’s actually just the confirmation that your data has been logged. As the font of the headline confirmation message is not very big, it’s a bit hard to see. Does anyone know how to adapt the standard messages for copy and for font size/style/colour? I think that would really help make it clearer for my website signer uppers then! thanks

  • If you are a logged in WordPress.com user, your information is prefilled into the fields. You would not see that info if you were logged out. Nor would I see it if I went to the page as another logged in WordPress.com user. I would see my own info pre-filled.

Does that make sense? You can test it yourself by logging out or using a private/incognito browser window.
