if we upgrade can we receive technical support if we use our own servers?

    Hi
    Right now we are using the free plan and are hosted on your site. We are considering upgrading to the business plan and want to know if we upgrade and move our information to our own servers, can we still get technical help and the other services that comes with the plan? Would it be better if we upgraded to stay on wordpress servers or does it matter?

  • Hi Barbara,

    If you wanting to self-host your site, then buying the premium plan isn’t the best option because none of the features outside of the custom domain will be useful for you (custom design, space upgrade, free themes, no ads, etc). Those features are only beneficial to WordPress.com hosted sites.

    The technical assistance we also provide is primarily for sites that are hosted on WordPress.com as well, not self-hosted WordPress.org sites -we do not have access to the backend of self-hosted sites, so we are limited in troubleshooting any issues you may have.
